Hurricane Ike Blows West of South Florida

Apparently, southwest Florida dodges another bullet today and tomorrow as Hurricane Ike propels itself further westward into the Gulf of Mexico, sparing even the vulnerable Key West. Residents of gulfshore Texas appear less lucky with most projections slamming Ike into the coast very early Saturday morning. "Hunker down" as they say on the Weather Channel.

The entire length of Cuba will have faced the onslaught of Ike for nearly 48 hours once it's passed into the gulf. No government aid like FEMA exists in Cuba since the Castro brothers concern themselves less with the people and more with themselves. So please keep these people in your prayers!
